Monitoring

The staff of the Val Grande Nature Oasis carry out continuous monitoring and surveys of both plant and animal life using a variety of methods:
• Direct field observation
• Traces (tracks, droppings, nests, feathers, carcasses)
• Camera traps
• Audio recording devices
• Bioacoustics

These efforts are supported by external experts and university internships.

Monitored Components:
• Herbaceous, shrub, and tree species
• Fungi
• Aquatic plants
• Insects
• Reptiles
• Amphibians
• Birds
• Mammals

This systematic monitoring allows the Oasis to track ecosystem health, support conservation efforts, and provide valuable data for research and environmental management.
