Which model is recommended for trekking?
For decades, RENEGADE has followed the same principle: perfect fit. To further improve this aspect, the new RENEGADE EVO GTX MID has been enhanced with specific details. For example, the inner side of the front part of the shoe is made in a single piece, providing superior upper comfort. By eliminating unnecessary seams, the nubuck leather is processed to flexibly adapt to the individual structure of the foot, avoiding chafing and relieving the big toe joint. The dual-zone lacing also plays its part and, thanks to newly designed hooks, can now be adjusted more easily to individual needs. The waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX membrane ensures superior comfort. Moreover, the new RENEGADE features a newly designed sole system. The direct-injection midsole includes two cushioning agents: the first is LOWA® DYNAPU®, the second, more stable, works in synergy with the CROSS OVER FRAME to ensure perfect foot guidance. The new VIBRAM RENE TRAC® sole contributes to excellent grip.

The self-cleaning VIBRAM RENE TRAC® with multidirectional tread alignment ensures optimal grip on a wide range of terrains. In combination with a pronounced heel edge, the sole provides smooth rolling motion for comfortable uphill and downhill movement.

MIDSOLE
100% Polyurethane (PU)
Polyurethane is a soft plastic with excellent cushioning properties, mainly used for midsoles. The PU content makes the sole lighter and more flexible.
INSOLE
Approx. 30% Polyester: synthetic fiber, lightweight, tear- and abrasion-resistant, quick-drying, and shrink-resistant.
Approx. 45% Felt: fabric of interlocked fibers, elastic, thermally insulating, used in insoles and interior walls of shoes.
Approx. 10% Mesh: breathable fabric made of small loops, absorbs moisture, fresh, durable, and low-maintenance.
INSOLE
Approx. 70% Memolatex: Memolatex is a very soft latex foam. Besides being lightweight, it supports the natural rolling motion of the foot and is mainly used in shoe insoles. It comfortably wraps the foot, enhancing overall comfort.
UPPER MATERIAL
100% Nubuck Leather: first-grade leather slightly sanded for a velvety finish. Durable, robust, and breathable. Can be left untreated, oiled, or waxed depending on the desired look.
LINING MATERIAL
100% GORE-TEX: waterproof, windproof, and breathable.

DOUBLE INJECTION

PRODUCTION METHODS
Sole injection method: the sole of LOWA multifunction shoes is directly injected to ensure optimal cushioning and exceptional comfort. The injection molding process directly connects the Strobel-constructed upper to the sole, providing ideal cushioning and incredible lightness.
